Mrs. Akroosh-Ramirez

Mrs. Akroosh-Ramirez was born and raised in South Austin and is a former Menchaca Elementary Mustang and went on to graduate from Bowie High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State University in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is also English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented certified. She has helped present staff development and write curriculum for the Math, Language Arts, and Early Childhood Departments. She currently facilitates staff development during the summers for AISD’s  AYP Coordinator. Mrs. Akroosh-Ramirez is currently teaching Kindergarten but has experience teaching Kinder, First, and Second grades. She enjoys spending family time with her super supportive husband, multi-talented son, and Special Needs daughter.

Mrs. Greenman

​Mr. Gerber was born in Goshen, Indiana and made his way to Texas in 2004.  After working in restaurants and commercial kitchens, he finished his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State in Elementary Education. He began his teaching career at Menchaca as a Teacher Assistant then moved to Oak Hill Elementary where he taught PPCD (Special Education for 3, 4, and 5-year-old’s).  His wife, Karen, also taught at Menchaca and then went to Oak Hill with him where she currently teaches Pre-K. They now have two beautiful children: Eli and Lisa.  He enjoys watching soccer, cooking and eating food, playing with his kids, and singing at his church. He also enjoys his summers working as a counselor/assistant director at El Ranchito, an overnight, tent-camping, nature discovery camp for disadvantaged youth.

Ms. Piotpiotroskiroski

Ms. Piotroski was born in Plymouth, New Hampshire but shortly after moved to Texas. She grew up in Katy, Texas and moved into the Austin area when she attended Texas State University. There she graduated with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Piotroski student taught at Menchaca Elementary and worked in Special Education as a Teaching Assistant. She hopes to never leave! She enjoys watching live music and hiking with her dog Max. She also enjoys playing softball and volleyball, and plays in different leagues throughout Austin.
